![]() Easiest way out of controversy for a company is to destroy the source completely.Įdit 2: A dev released a statement that is was for game balance. But there is a chance that they will add the female characters back into the game before the beta is over, but not because the female gamers asked for it, but for eye candy for their demographic.Įdit: After some more research, another reason they were removed was because of the controversy the female models caused for Crytek. They are probably working on bugs, glitchy environments and models and level editing from user feedback. Currently Warface is still in beta and requires a lot of work to be done. There is a website I found where they stated that they might make less sexy clothing for the women in all countries but China, Russia and Korea, so more work is required to create both models.īut they might return one day, just not now. Another reason is you need to create many, many different aspects for female characters: animations, voice lines, clothing models etc. breasts and skinnier legs, therefore putting more demand on the server which is configured for the identical male models and slowing down the the server speed and increasing load times. But with female characters, you need to render other parts at the same time, e.g. With identical characters running around is is easy to render and transmit info. To save functioning power, the character models were made to look exactly the same but with different faces. Second, look at the game itself, the character models and the environment are a very demanding aspect of servers. For the other part of Warfaces demographic, why have the female characters as a default when they are willing to pay money for something to look at.(Based on the Russian female model able to be bought and the amount of money they made.) ![]() Therefore, why put extra work into creating skins, hats and vests for female characters if a majority of the demographic does not care what they look like and would rather make someone their b**** so they can look at their a*** and breasts during combat. For a MMORPG, you have mostly people who want to get lost in a fantasy world because they are of the lonely, socially-inept male demographic, therefore many will play as a female character to make up for their social status and will drop more money the improve the character, while Warface's demographic are mostly males who are socially stable and play just so they can shoot things and don’t truly care who they are shooting as but what they are shooting. This means that the it would not matter financially the gender of the characters. Sorry I offended you, but after further thinking(and playing) I think I came to more logical answer: The company sees it as a way to effectively cut down on work.įirst, look at the customer demographic: white males 16-27, a majority not geeks. ![]() Lastly, as a long time female gamer, I SHOUT bring back the females in this game Warface, you are letting down the female gamers here. I just want a female character to play, is that too much to ask.? As you mentioned Team Fortress 2, well maybe Wareface should go take a look at how the women are portrayed in that game, the Warface females looked like Goldielocks in comparison. I want to play a female character, why is this an issue even.!!!! Sadly, there will always be haters and complainers out there and quite frankly even if the females were dressed in full combat uniforms the same as the men, mark my words there would be someone out there ready to complain that the outfit was too mascaline, right!. ![]() job done.NOT remove them completely, this is why im annoyed. the whole situation could have been solved by the Developers by amending the female characters uniform to the same as the males. whats wrong with a little cleavage and breasts, we do have them afterall, plus, remember this is JUST A GAME, its not personally hurting anyone here and if people strongly disagree with the look of the characters there a plenty of other games out there that would suit their needs. SquerFilms - I personally didnt think there was anything wrong with the original female characters uniforms, i liked the Sniper, which is what I always play.
